Our Founders

Henko was co-founded by Maria Morandeira-Roca and Paco Latorre - two creatives united by a shared belief that beauty is both an art and a form of care.

After years working in environments where creativity and kindness weren’t always prioritised, they set out to create something different: a studio where people feel safe to evolve, be seen, and express who they truly are.

Paco leads Henko’s creative direction, bringing deep expertise in colour, hair artistry, and education. Known for his attention to detail and intuitive approach, his work enhances natural beauty while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Maria shapes the vision, experience, and philosophy of Henko. With a background spanning beauty, wellness, and studio leadership, she brings a deeply human approach to care, confidence-building, and team culture.

Together, they’ve created a space that celebrates individuality, nurtures excellence, and redefines what modern self-care can feel like.

Art Director
Hi!! I'm Paco Latorre, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Henko Studio. I bring over 26 years of experience in the hair industry, from years as a color expert to working in fashion photoshoots, catwalks and fashion weeks in Spain, as well as film and TV.

Over time I decided to focus fully on what I truly love — color. I specialise in big transformations, hair extensions and color corrections, creating looks that are always adapted to each client's style and personality.

At Henko, my role is not only to lead our creative vision but also to support and educate. I'm passionate about sharing knowledge, guiding stylists and building a space where we all grow together. Working with my clients behind the chair excites me just as much as inspiring and training professionals to achieve their best 😁

With over 9 years of experience in hairdressing, Teegan brings creativity, passion, and precision to every client. Beyond her colour work, Teegan has a real talent for blow dries and styling. Whether it's a sleek and polished finish or soft, glamorous waves, she ensures that every client leaves her chair feeling confident, stylish, and truly amazing.

Maria Alfaro is a Reiki Master Teacher, somatic and sound healer, and founder of @saraswatisuniverse. For more than seven years she has been holding healing spaces, guiding people back to the wisdom of their bodies and the clarity and softness of their hearts. A Reiki practitioner for over twenty years and a Reiki Master Teacher for the last five, Maria supports heart-minded people in their journey of self-love and authentic becoming.

Maria weaves Reiki, crystals and Sound healing, somatic explorations, and cacao ceremonies into experiences that are embodied, soulful and intuitive, all held with trauma-informed care. Her vision is simple and profound: to create spaces where body, heart, and mind align in harmony. At Henko, Maria will be offering somatic and energy healing sessions, Reiki initiations, and intimate ceremonial gatherings in residence.

With over 16 years of experience in the beauty industry, Rutvi has built her career around a true passion for helping clients look and feel their very best.

She specialises in a wide variety of services including Threading, Waxing, Lycon Hot Wax, Eyelash Extensions, Lash Lifts, Tinting, HD Brows, Manicures, Pedicures, Gel Polish, and Relaxing Massages.

Every treatment she provides is carefully tailored to enhance natural beauty while ensuring comfort, precision, and care. Whether it's a quick refresh or a full pampering session, Rutvi's goal is always to create a warm and welcoming experience that leaves every client glowing inside and out.

I bring over 20 years of experience in wellness, health & fitness and aesthetics. I'm also a CIDESCO qualified therapist. When we started building Henko Studio, I knew it wasn't just about opening a salon. I wanted to create a space that feels welcoming from the very first step inside, a place where you can breathe, feel at ease, and know that every detail has been considered with care and intention.

My journey has always been about people, making them feel seen, valued and comfortable. Through my work in the beauty and wellness world, I've learned that true beauty isn't just about how we look, but how we feel, the confidence we carry, and the connections we build.

That's why Henko means so much to me. In Japanese, it translates to "change" and "evolution," and that's exactly what I believe this space is all about: supporting transformation in the most authentic and personal way.
