This website is intended for users aged 18 and over.

These Terms exist to provide clarity and protect both our clients and our team, so that your experience with us is grounded in trust from the very beginning.

Appointments & Services

4. Consultations & Suitability

Every service at Henko begins with care and professional assessment.

Certain services — including hair colouring, bleaching, toning, brow or lash tinting, chemical treatments, laser and advanced procedures — require consultation and suitability checks to ensure they are safe and appropriate for you.

You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information regarding:

  • Medical history
  • Allergies or previous reactions
  • Medications
  • Pregnancy
  • Skin or scalp conditions
  • Recent sun exposure
  • Previous chemical or aesthetic treatments

If a treatment is not suitable, we will explain why and may recommend an alternative. We reserve the right to decline or postpone treatment where necessary for safety.

5. Hair Colour, Tinting & Chemical Services

Hair colouring, lightening, toning, and brow or lash tinting involve the use of chemical products that may cause allergic reactions.

A patch test is required at least 48 hours prior to:

  • All new colour clients
  • Clients who have not had a colour service with us within the last 6 months
  • Clients who have experienced changes in health, medication or pregnancy
  • Clients with a history of sensitivity or allergic reaction

Failure to attend a required patch test may result in your appointment being cancelled for safety reasons.

While we use professional, high-performance products selected to support hair integrity, results may vary depending on previous colour history, hair condition and aftercare.

Colour Results & Corrective Work

Hair colouring and lightening are technical and creative processes. While we consult carefully and agree desired outcomes in advance, results may vary depending on:

  • Previous colour history
  • Hair porosity and condition
  • Underlying pigments
  • Realistic lightening limitations

In some cases, achieving certain results may require multiple appointments.

If you believe a technical adjustment is required, please notify us within 7 days so we can assess appropriately.

Changes of mind or requests for a different outcome after a completed service may be treated as a new appointment and charged accordingly.

We reserve the right to adjust or decline chemical services where hair integrity may be compromised.

6. Advanced Aesthetic & Energy-Based Treatments

Henko offers advanced aesthetic treatments delivered using medical-grade, energy-based technology and clinically informed protocols.

These treatments may include hair reduction, vascular and thread vein treatments, pigmentation treatments, skin rejuvenation and other targeted aesthetic procedures.

All treatments require:

  • A medical suitability assessment
  • Patch testing where required
  • Signed informed consent

Energy-based aesthetic treatments carry inherent risks, including temporary redness, swelling, sensitivity, bruising, blistering or pigmentation changes. While we use industry-leading technology and trained practitioners, outcomes vary between individuals.

Results depend on skin type, treatment area, hormonal influences, underlying conditions and adherence to the recommended treatment plan. Multiple sessions are often required to achieve optimal outcomes.

Your practitioner may adjust your treatment plan at any time to prioritise safety, long-term skin integrity and clinical best practice.

7. Patch Testing (General Policy)

Where required, patch tests must be completed at least 48 hours before treatment.

Patch testing applies to:

  • Hair colour services
  • Lightening and bleaching services
  • Brow and lash tinting
  • Certain laser treatments

We reserve the right to refuse treatment without a valid patch test where required.

8. Bookings & Cancellations

Appointments may be made online, by phone, email or in person.

A deposit may be required for certain services.

We kindly request at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a charge of up to 100% of the booked service value.

Arriving late may reduce treatment time or require rescheduling.

We may occasionally need to reschedule appointments due to operational or safety reasons and will provide notice where possible.

Pricing, Payments & Courses

9. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Prices may change from time to time.

Henko operates a cashless policy. We accept debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

10. Refunds

Services already delivered are non-refundable.

If something has not met your expectations, please inform us within 7 days so we can review and respond appropriately.

This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11. Gift Vouchers

Henko gift vouchers are available for purchase where offered.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Lost, stolen or expired vouchers cannot be replaced.
  • Vouchers must be presented at the time of appointment.

If the service exceeds the voucher value, the balance must be paid. If it is lower, the remaining balance will remain as credit until expiry.

All standard cancellation policies apply to voucher bookings.

12. Promotional Pricing

From time to time, we may offer launch pricing or limited-time promotions.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotions apply only during the advertised period
  • Offers cannot be combined
  • Promotional pricing cannot be applied retrospectively
  • Standard cancellation and expiry policies apply

We reserve the right to amend or withdraw promotions.

13. Laser Courses & Treatment Packages

Laser courses are offered as a series of sessions at a preferential rate.

Validity

Courses must be used within 12 months of purchase unless otherwise stated. Unused sessions after expiry will be forfeited.

Extensions may be granted in certain medical circumstances at our discretion.

Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable

Courses are personal to the purchaser and cannot be transferred or shared.

Courses are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Cancellations Within Courses

The 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all course sessions. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in that session being deducted.

Pregnancy & Medical Pause

If you become pregnant during a course, treatment will be paused and validity extended for up to 12 months.

Pregnancy does not entitle you to a refund.

Medical clearance may be required before resuming treatment.

Instalments (If Offered)

If instalment plans are introduced, the full course value remains payable. Missed payments may result in suspension of treatment.

14. Payment Disputes

If a payment is disputed or charged back without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend future bookings and provide relevant booking and consent documentation to the payment provider.

We encourage clients to contact us directly so concerns can be resolved promptly and fairly.

Colour services are not provided to clients under 16.

Laser and advanced treatments are strictly 18+.

Identification may be requested where appropriate.

Unopened retail products may be returned within 14 days with proof of purchase.

Opened products cannot be returned unless faulty.

17. Studio Environment

Henko is designed to be a welcoming and respectful space.

We reserve the right to refuse service or ask individuals to leave in cases of abusive, discriminatory or unsafe behaviour.

Clients are responsible for their belongings. We cannot accept liability for loss or damage unless caused by our negligence.

Data & Legal

19. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Treatment records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in line with professional standards.

20. Photography & Media

We may take photographs for clinical records or documentation of treatment results.

Clinical images form part of your confidential treatment record and are stored securely.

Images used for marketing or promotional purposes will only be published with your explicit consent.

Consent for marketing use may be withdrawn at any time by contacting us in writing.

21. Intellectual Property

All content, branding and materials on this website belong to Henko Studio and may not be reproduced without permission.

22. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to that, our liability is limited to the value of the service provided.
